A nature-oriented poster designed to showcase the often-overlooked waterstrider. Waterstriders are long-legged insects that live in creeks and ponds and move along the surface tension of the water. These insects are often fascinating to children playing in said creeks, who try to catch them and sink them as children are apt to do, but generally never succeed at.

While working on the poster, I received a lot of reactions from people who remembered playing with these insects as children. These reactions became the quotes used as the splash from the hand as the waterstrider makes its escape, as it always seemed to do.
